I recently experienced the hardest time in my life, which was losing my mother to stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized to the brain. While it has been very difficult losing her, it brings me joy remembering happy moments with her and cherishing our memories together.

Her last stay at the hospital was one of the worst. She was in so much pain, and it was so pitiful and hard to watch her go through that, but all I keep remembering is one of her nurses, Ashley Greene. This nurse went above and beyond. She took her time with my mom; she was the sweetest person, and she did all she could to help my mom and us through that very difficult time.

My son is in the army, and my mom absolutely loved seeing him, and she would get so excited to see him in uniform. He is the first in our family to serve in the military. So when it was time for him to come in to see her before she passed, we were all so lost with the process of getting him here. Ashley went above and beyond again and handled calls and helped arrange for him to come in to see her.

I apologize for waiting so long, but this has been very hard, and I hold on to those memories where nurse Ashley was the sweetest person during that time. She is a true angel. I will forever remember her and all that she did for my mom!
