I felt safe knowing that Art was in my corner.
I had the privilege of being under the care of Mr. Art Ascano, an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, following a challenging experience with chest pain, difficulty breathing, and severe shoulder pain after my cholecystectomy. From the moment I arrived back in the ER, Art stood out as an exceptional nurse who truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and supported throughout the entire process.

Art’s kindness and compassion were evident from the start. Despite the busy environment of the ER, he made me feel like I was his top priority. His calm demeanor and genuine concern for my well-being helped ease my anxiety during an incredibly stressful and painful time. He listened to my concerns attentively, reassuring me with every step of the process and explaining what was happening in a way that was easy to understand. His communication skills were exceptional, ensuring that I knew exactly what to expect, which brought me great comfort.

Not only was Art a great communicator, but he was also an advocate for me throughout my care. He worked diligently to ensure that I received timely attention from the medical team, and he continuously checked in to monitor my condition. His attention to detail and dedication to making sure I was comfortable did not go unnoticed. He was vigilant in addressing my pain and worked quickly to ensure I received the necessary interventions. I felt safe knowing that Art was in my corner.

Art’s professionalism and compassionate care made all the difference during a difficult time. His dedication to patient advocacy, coupled with his kind heart, makes him truly deserving of the DAISY Award. I will forever be grateful for the excellent care he provided me.
