It has always amazed me as I have lived throughout my life, it will always work out, it will eventually be ok. And by the word "it," I mean whatever trauma or trial we are going through; it is not for us to question. How, why, when, or where but to have faith, "it" will be ok. The light at the end of the tunnel will always be there.

Today, that light for me was Ariana. My nurse on the 5th floor. I am going through severe withdrawal and fighting my PTSD. Today I was having the normal sense of claustrophobia, anxiety, and hopelessness. Even though Ariana my nurse was busy and shed a few tears with her today because of my depression.

Having that talk with her and having her make eye contact meant so much to know that she showed concern for me and actual empathy. She has been amazing at helping me today to get in touch with the doctors I need and reaching out to the social worker for me.

If you ever meet Ariana, you will know she walks with a "pep" in her step and that she takes pride in her work and loves and cares about her patients. More people should follow in her footsteps, she is very personable, charismatic, detail oriented.
