I had a blowout on my left front tire near your emergency room. I pulled into an adjacent parking lot and walked to your facility. My real reason for entering your facility was to ask for the physical address so I could call AAA.

I'm a wanna-be comedian who seldom gets laughs, but this time it paid off. I said to Lizzie Hendrix, the lady at the desk, that I had an emergency and needed her help. This wasn't a physical emergency, but a flat tire emergency. Lizzie mentioned it to James Shelton, one of your nurses. I got the address, and unexpectedly, James followed me out. I told him I had a spare, but no jack.

My vehicle is a 2021 Colorado. This was the first time I'd had a tire issue. James said that sometimes the jack is located above the spare tire. Then he unilaterally took it upon himself to drop the tire and have a look. The jack wasn't there. I thanked him and said I'd call AAA as I originally intended. James wasn't done. He got another nurse, Kenneth Odvar, who happened to have a vehicle similar to mine and a jack. Both men took it upon themselves to change the tire with very little input from me.

I think that's a big deal and worthy of your acknowledgement; that's why I'm writing this note. It gets better. It's a bigger deal because of where I was going. I was on my way to my Grandson's first birthday party. There is no doubt in my mind that I would have missed it if not for these three. If I'd had to wait on AAA, it would have been at least a couple of hours for them to arrive and change the tire.

Thanks to your people, I got to party with my Grandson. You've got three GREAT employees: James Shelton; Kenneth Odvar, and Lizzie Hendrix. I'm counting on you to make a fuss over them.
