She recognized not only my medical needs, but also the emotional toll I was under as a mother trying to balance caring for my toddler while preparing to deliver a new baby.
Arden was truly an amazing nurse! Her warmth and genuine care made such a difference during my stay. I was feeling so anxious about being induced earlier than expected, but she made the experience feel calm and reassuring. She took the time to explain my treatment plan, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I felt informed and supported every step of the way. I’m so grateful for the comfort and ease she brought me during such an overwhelming time.
In August 2025, my water broke with my second child, and we arrived at the hospital around 9:30 pm. From the moment I was admitted, Nurse Arden showed an incredible amount of care and compassion. My husband and I were scrambling to arrange childcare for our toddler, who was with us at the time. He has autism and was very overwhelmed being at the hospital. He was fussy, crying, and struggling with the environment. I was already stressed about going into labor and preparing for my second C-section, and having my toddler there made everything feel even more overwhelming. Arden was extremely understanding of our situation. Even though hospital policy required that my toddler could not stay, she showed so much patience and kindness in those difficult moments. She recognized not only my medical needs, but also the emotional toll I was under as a mother trying to balance caring for my toddler while preparing to deliver a new baby. She reassured me, supported me, and gave me the space to feel like I wasn’t failing as a parent at that moment.
Eventually, my sister was able to come and watch my toddler. This allowed my husband to be by my side during surgery. Arden made sure I was cared for so I could rest and have the time I needed to recover and prepare for the arrival of my second child. Her ability to see me as a whole person, not just a patient, meant so much to me. What stood out most was how she advocated for me, noticed my stress, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt supported during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. Her compassion and attentiveness are something I will never forget, and I am deeply grateful for the difference she made in my care.
