My mother was admitted to the unit in May. The nurse, the first night, knew my mom was very sick. My mother eventually succumbed to the illness. However, the nurse was so attentive and professional. The nurse continued to check on my mother prior to passing and made sure she was comfortable, as well as making sure my wife and I had everything we needed. The compassion the nurse demonstrated was truly inspirational.  

They invested a lot of their time with us during a difficult set of circumstances, and they made a tough time palatable. The nurse is a credit to St Francis and to the nursing profession as a whole. My wife and I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond to meet our needs and make sure Mom did not experience any unnecessary suffering. For me, that is the definition of a care provider or super nurse.
