I am honored to nominate Anne Tate for the DAISY Award, as she exemplifies the very essence of what this award represents: compassionate care, clinical skill, and extraordinary dedication to patients and their families.

It is clear that for Anne, nursing is not just a job, it is a calling. She consistently does everything in her power to ensure patients feel seen, heard, and truly cared for. Her clinical skill at starting an infusion line, almost always with the first try, is superior to every other nurse we've had. She is always pleasant, extremely patient, and good at making my 90-year-old mother with advanced Alzheimer's feel comfortable and looked after. My mother is very nervous with nurses she does not know, and Anne does everything she can to ensure that she is the one to administer the infusion, even rearranging her schedule if she can. She represents the best that nursing has to offer.

Anne has been my mother's infusion nurse for many years now, and as my mother's condition has worsened, she has adapted with compassion and skill to my mother's need for more cueing to follow instructions and additional assistance to walk and take pre-infusion medication.

We have been so lucky to have Anne as our nurse for all of these years. The continuity of her care has been invaluable. She not only provides clinical excellence but also deep compassion. That is what makes Anne Tate so deserving of the DAISY Award.
