December 2025 Honoree
Anna Cheng, RN
I would like to recognize Anna Cheng for her compassion and dedication to her patients. Anna was only my nurse for one day, but she made a huge impact in that short time.
She came in smiling and ready to answer all the questions I had for her. She went above and beyond answering my questions and putting my mind at ease when I was feeling overwhelmed.
I had been having swelling and redness issues on my face. The doctors weren't sure what was causing it, but did not seem too concerned. Anna took the time to look through possible side effects of some of the new medications I was on to help set my mind at ease.
When I expressed to Anna that I needed to file for short-term disability but had no idea where to start, not only did she take the time to explain the process, but she also printed the paperwork to get me started. The information I had received from others up to that point was clearly wrong, but Anna set me on the right track.
After helping me navigate short-term disability, she moved on to my next question. I was trying to schedule a new patient appointment with the GI clinic that had seen me during my stay. She explained to me the best and quickest way to make it happen.
The time and patience she took to explain things to me and to always keep a smile on her face truly meant a lot to me. She made me feel calmer and more confident in circumstances that were feeling very overwhelming for me.
Thank you, Anna!
Thank you, Anna, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
