Anna's care and compassion for my wife's desperate situation may have saved her life and kept me from a heart attack. My wife is an 80-year-old cancer patient who has been on oxygen for 11 years. She wanted to see Destin again, so I rented a large SUV for us and the equipment. We left Texas and checked into our Vicksburg motel, only to find we left the 1-inch oxygen tube connector for her ventilator tubing! Pharmacies were closed; I searched everywhere, finally drove into the Merit ambulance entrance by mistake, and somehow locked the emergency brake. I ran inside, begging for help. Anna interpreted what I was babbling, searched for the connector, found it, then went to the strange car and figured out how to disengage the push-button brake, all in less than 5 minutes! Genius, but more, one who cares! Deserves the DAISY Award!
