Their immediate concern was to calm and comfort me. It was so sweet.
These nurses work at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake. This was my first radiation treatment, and as soon as I walked in, Elisa said, are you J? And I burst into tears. Angie and Elisa both literally jumped up to help and comfort me. I’ve never seen any nurses act like this before. Their immediate concern was to calm and comfort me. It was so sweet. I will never forget their kindness. This is my sixth skin cancer on my face. I have had five surgeries on my face and opted to try radiation for this cancer to avoid another surgery and more scarring. But I am scared and seriously traumatized from all of the past surgeries. They recognized it, and even Elisa said, this is trauma from your past surgeries. She is right. I needed their comfort and calm and to explain everything to me. They were so kind and answered all my questions.
