Yesterday I had the privilege of working alongside Angelica as we supported a patient with significant mental health needs. Angelica was stretched to the gills with her workload, and despite being yelled at by the patient during a particularly challenging moment, she continued to show up with compassion, patience, and unwavering professionalism. She truly exemplified grace under fire.

Even under pressure, Angelica managed the situation with calmness and empathy. She was instrumental in helping me ensure a safe discharge plan, and she made all the difference to this patient’s experience. What stood out most was that Angelica treated the patient like a human being, not a problem. Her approach reflected the best of what nursing should be: compassionate, patient-centered care that upholds dignity even in the most difficult circumstances. Angelica is an outstanding nurse who embodies excellence, and I am grateful for the example she sets.
