Angela didn’t just do her job; she changed the experience of hospitalization for us.
Over a period of two months, my son A was admitted to Ward 4A as his medical team worked tirelessly to stabilize his condition through ongoing adjustments in his medication. Those months were some of the most difficult and uncertain times we’ve ever experienced, marked by ups and downs, unpredictable side effects, and a general sense of instability that made it hard to find a firm footing. Amid all of that, one constant remained: Nurse Angela. From the beginning, Angela stood out not just for her clinical expertise, but for her unwavering presence, her calm in the chaos, and her deeply human approach to care. She became an anchor for our family when everything else felt adrift. For A, she was a source of reassurance, comfort, and familiarity. Her consistency helped him cope when nothing else seemed stable. She treated him with dignity, compassion, and a warmth that made her feel like family. For me, as a mother, Angela became a lifeline. In an environment where so much felt uncertain, she was my reliable source of clear information, always taking the time to explain what was happening, to answer my questions with patience and empathy, and to gently guide me through decisions no parent ever wants to make. She never rushed, never dismissed my fears, and always treated me as a partner in my son’s care. Angela didn’t just do her job; she changed the experience of hospitalization for us. She brought light into our dark moments, and her presence made all the difference. In a ward full of moving pieces, she was the steady heart at the center. For that, we are deeply grateful.
