Angel Roman, BSN, RN

I would like to nominate Angel. I went to the ER on Sunday morning. My husband called an ambulance because I couldn’t breathe. I was told I had pneumonia and CHF. I was admitted and went to the 2nd floor. I was scared and alone. The first person/nurse I saw was (my) Angel.

He was very kind and caring. He explained what was going on in terms I could understand. He took his time and really listened. When my husband and daughter arrived, he went over it again and answered all their questions. When his shift was over, he came in to introduce the next nurse. He then made sure I didn’t have any more questions. When I told my daughter the nurse's name, she thought What a great name for a nurse.

I had several nurses during my stay. All were great. I wish I could remember all their names. I was released 3 days later. That morning, my new nurse came in to check on me. It was (my) Angel.

There are a lot of great nurses and staff at this hospital. They all really seem to care. I will remember this experience for the rest of my long life. I am so grateful that I had Angel as my nurse. He goes above and beyond to be a bright light on a Dark Day.
