A colleague recognized Andrew Neiheisel after witnessing a simple, meaningful act of compassion that helped restore a patient's confidence. Andrew took time to help a patient apply her eyelashes when she couldn’t manage it. That small act restored her confidence and helped her feel like herself again, said the colleague.

That moment shone a light on Andrew as a compassionate, patient-centered caregiver who shows up every day. “He consistently demonstrates kindness, empathy, and genuine dedication to the people he serves, not only to meet his patients’ physical needs but also their personal and emotional needs,” Andrew’s colleague wrote.
