I have not seen Nurse Andrea recently, but there was a period of about two years when I saw her often. She was always professional and friendly.

The incident that stands out most in my mind was when I was beginning to take antidepressant medication. When I finally found one that worked well for me, it was very distressing when the insurance company suddenly stopped paying for it. Andrea advocated for me during a very difficult time. I was forced to switch to a medication that didn’t work for me, and I had to argue for myself at a time when I could barely function.

Andrea submitted all of the necessary paperwork, which had to be completed in stages, and she communicated with both my primary care provider and my insurance company. This went on for a long time, including an appeal. Through all of it, she seemed to care very sincerely and never lost patience.

During COVID, she also made sure I knew about the vaccine offered by the Institute. This was both professional and kind. Andrea has made me feel cared about. I admire her, and I am grateful to her.
