I would like to recognise Amy-Rose for her exceptional attitude in the delivery of my daughter. Amy-Rose was the first midwife to assess me from the labour ward and was the only one to acknowledge I was in active labour. She instantly gained my trust and put me at ease, offering support and encouragement.

Her choice of words was impeccable as she said phrases that made me feel safe and secure in an instant. She was the only midwife to ask."What do you feel?" "What is your body telling you?"  "How would you like the environment?" Although things moved too fast to implement much, she asked and she gave me dignity in what can sometimes be a less dignified experience for a woman.

She went the extra mile throughout and even visited me prior to discharge. This little personal touch spoke volumes. She also complimented and acknowledged my efforts in hypnobirthing, which was lovely. Please let her know that her empathy and personality make her a wonderful midwife, and that she should never lose those qualities. She may be due to qualify, but she is clearly a natural and has far to go.
