I am writing to express my gratitude for the care I received at Mercy Hospital. Your pre-operative, operative, and post-operative staff were all very wonderful and helpful; however, you have a stand-out! Let me introduce you to her: Registered Nurse, Amy James. From the very beginning, Nurse James was present at every detail. At all times, she behaved in a highly competent manner. For example, this nurse was always prepared, precise, and if that were not enough, they were caring and empathetic, always smiling and assured. She made the environment feel safe; consequently, my anxiety was non-existent when she was on duty. One could not hope for a better advocate. Additionally, upon my departure, Nurse James presented me with a written packet that covered every possible question that might arise. This packet also contained information regarding medications I was taking; for example, it covered instructions, cautions, side effects, how to take my medications, etc. I have looked up information in this packet at least once-a-day since I have been home. It has been invaluable to me and the information they have covered has reassured me. I have not had to call one doctor’s office with questions since returning home as a consequence. When I was in the hospital, I prayed for an angel. I got one! I thank you for all you did for me, Nurse James. You are truly at the top of your field.
