While sitting in an ER bed for chest pain and other issues, I was so grateful for Amy’s care. She has been very forthcoming about my treatment and testing, regularly checking in on my comfort and ensuring I haven’t been forgotten.

I’ve also appreciated how friendly she has been, joking, smiling, and helping me feel at ease. Every time we engage, she helps lessen my anxiety and reassures me about the medical team and what’s happening.

One thing I greatly appreciated was when she stopped the lab tech from drawing my blood, saying she was about to place an IV and would draw the blood herself to minimize how many times I got poked. Despite the usual failed attempts by staff, which had often resulted in pokes in various body parts and even the use of ultrasound, Amy got it on the first try. She quickly drew the blood and provided my medications with skill and efficiency.

I want her to know she made my otherwise stressful night into a much less stressful one. After all, it was the ER, but Amy made it so much better.
