Amy was very kind, caring, and compassionate with our entire family throughout our visit. My grandfather was not expected to make it through the first couple of nights of his stay in the ICU. Throughout the visit, Amy helped keep him comfortable and was so incredibly patient and kind to us. We have a large family, and we continuously switched places, two at a time, to go back and forth and be with him. Amy was kind and continued to answer our questions, sometimes the same questions for multiple people, but she always made sure we understood what was happening. We could not have asked for a kinder or more caring person to be with us.

My Mom and I were conversing about music with Amy, and my mom mentioned that my grandpa, the patient, really liked Jimmy Buffett. A few moments later, Nurse Amy had Jimmy Buffett songs playing for my grandpa to listen to. My mom and I were teary-eyed from this kindness. Amy’s small acts of kindness and understanding have made these hard times a little more bearable. Thank you, Amy.

This woman calmed our panic and ensured we were knowledgeable about everything we had questions or concerns about. Each one of our family members has made a comment on her exceptional work with our grandfather. She is exactly who I picture as the model healthcare worker, and we’ve had the privilege of speaking with her.
