R doesn't bond with many people, but she loved how compassionate, vibrant, and understanding Amy was. She listened and cared for R and showed her how to make her comfortable.
R and I presented at the hospital as R had a high temperature, lethargy, and vomiting. Sadly, our first trip didn't go so well. We were very quickly dismissed and told it was just a bug. A few hours later, we returned as R was declining.

Amy was a bright, bubbly, and friendly nurse who was very caring of our needs and not only made sure R was comfortable but also me. Amy tried talking to R, but with R’s disability, R couldn't communicate back. I explained this to Amy, and she was so kind, letting R know that it was totally okay.

When she heard R learning Japanese, Amy mentioned she had recently been to Japan, R smiled, and looked comfortable with Amy. Every time Amy came in to see R, she would always explain what she was doing so that R didn't get upset.

R doesn't bond with many people, but she loved how compassionate, vibrant, and understanding Amy was. She listened and cared for R and showed her how to make her comfortable.  R said, "I really like Amy, she is nice. Her uniform is cool; she really took care of me."

From having such a bad experience prior, to then meeting Amy, who had R trusting her instantly. Amy had R feeling important and not like they always had to be somewhere else.  It is amazing to see such beautiful staff, especially with our kiddies.
