I am writing this to thank this nurse for the awesome care she showed my son when he had an anaphylactic reaction and had to be rushed to the emergency room. I called the ER when we were en route to the hospital as a terrified mother, wondering what to do. I explained the situation and how his symptoms were worsening. She was quick to calm my nerves and initiated a plan. She asked how far out we were from the hospital and said, "I’ll be waiting for you at the door when you arrive." And she did just that. We were rushed back, and he was immediately seen and evaluated by staff. I truly think her quick response and the quality care she gives her patients is one major reason we had a good outcome in such a scary and serious situation. I can’t thank her enough for all that she did, and I believe she is a great example of what the DAISY Award stands for.
