September 2026 Honoree
Amanda Loney, LPN
Amanda works as a PACT LPN serving primary care veterans in Venango. She is the most senior nurse on staff in our building, and with that time served, she has the knowledge and wisdom to show for it. She runs a PACT but also completes many extra duties, keeping us in compliance and always striving towards JC readiness.
When there are staff call-offs, she prides herself on covering others and doing whatever is necessary to meet the needs of veterans. From running 2 PACTS seamlessly to adding nurse visits in between rooming her patients, she doesn’t complain. When veterans show up early, she will do whatever she can to meet their needs and shorten their wait times.
She will post all of her PACT veterans when the MSAs are short-staffed to lighten their work burden- not because it is required but because she chooses to take on extra to help out others. She has a true team spirit.
She is the resource in the CBOC that first questions always go to. SOP, MCM, infonet, IT- if anyone will know it, it will be Amanda. She has been such an asset and resource as the two new RNCMs have acclimated to our roles.
She also fosters a team culture by recognizing monthly birthdays- not just for PACT clinic members but ALL of our specialties and others who call this building their "work homes". She knows the veterans, and she professionally always adds a personal touch, remembering to wish them Happy Birthday, etc.
She is extremely driven and always working towards excellence with her EQM goals. She comes in early and hits the ground running every day. She takes pride in what she does, and it shows in her work.
She is always helpful to all. She takes it upon herself to go above and beyond every day. She is appreciated and deserving of recognition, as much of what she does is behind the scenes and truly important to our mission of providing excellent veteran care.
Moments like this truly highlight what an extraordinary nurse Amanda is.
