Nurse Althea Collins is assigned to one of the elementary schools in our district. Today, Nurse Collins performed CPR on an unresponsive child. Nurse Collins did not allow the threat of COVID-19 to keep her from doing what she was trained to do, which is to care for others and save lives. She saw a child in crisis and acted. Even after Nurse Collins had saved this child's life, she did not voice concern over possibly exposing herself to COVID-19. Her concern was, and remains, for the safety and well-being of the child. Nurse Collins is our hero, and today we give a special thanks to God for her presence in our district.
