Allie is a nurse who works with me on labor and delivery and who took care of me when I became a patient, and I went into labor with my first baby. Allie and I worked a 12-hour shift together on Sunday, and I went into labor Sunday night. Allie stayed all night after working a 12-hour shift and stayed by my side as a support person until I delivered at 4:00 am on Monday. She also decorated my postpartum room with balloons and other decor to celebrate the birth of my daughter.

Allie never complained about being tired that night, and she constantly helped me move into different positions to help ease the discomfort of labor. Allie truly went above and beyond her duties to help make my delivery experience amazing. She held my hand and calmed me when I panicked about all the things that could go wrong in labor, and she constantly reassured me that she would be there and everything would be okay. Allie truly is an amazing nurse and an amazing friend.
