September 2026 Honoree
Alivia Bullock, RN
Alivia Bullock made an incredible difference in both my mom’s recovery and our family’s experience during one of the hardest times of our lives. As both a daughter and a nurse, I know how compassionate nursing care can impact a patient’s healing. Alivia went above and beyond every single day she cared for my mom. She didn’t just complete tasks; she truly cared about helping my mom regain her strength, confidence, and hope.
My mom had been through an incredibly difficult hospitalization, and throughout this trying time, she lost so much of her motivation. Alivia took the time to encourage her, celebrate every small victory, and gently push her to participate in therapy. Her positive attitude and unwavering encouragement helped my mom and me push through this difficult time.
One moment I will never forget was when Alivia helped me take my mom outside for the very first time in four weeks. After being confined to a hospital room for so long, feeling fresh air and sunshine was a relief. It wasn’t just a trip outside; it was a reminder that recovery was possible and that brighter days are coming. Alivia recognized how meaningful that moment would be for my mom and for me, and helped make that happen.
Throughout everything, Alivia treated my mom with dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion. She cared for her as though she was caring for someone she loved. Her clinical excellence was matched only by her empathy, encouragement, and ability to bring hope when we needed it most. Nurses like Alivia remind us that healing is about so much more than medicine. It is about compassion, connection, and helping patients believe they can keep moving forward.
Thanks, Alivia, for all you do!
