Alicia gave extraordinary service and compassion to a patient and her significant other. She saw him struggling with all his newborn belongings, and she assisted him with all of his items to the OB. She then assisted him in setting up the play pen for his 20-month-old. The relative who was to watch the child that day had passed away, and he had no one to watch their child, so he would be unable to be present for the birth of his baby in surgery. Alicia quickly volunteered to watch the child, so he could be present for the birth! She helped out for the next hour until the dad came back. This is an above-and-beyond moment and made the patient’s experience the best. She is a true team player and cares about the experiences of the patients and their families!
