Alexa Gomez, RN

I would like to recognize Alexa for the exceptional care she provided to my daughter during her hospital stay. My daughter was admitted for a week with appendicitis, and as you can imagine, it was a stressful and emotional time for our family, especially since we were there over the Easter holiday.

Alexa, a pediatric med-surg nurse, made an incredibly difficult situation so much more manageable with her compassion, attentiveness, and genuine kindness. From the very beginning, Alexa had a special way of connecting with my daughter. She didn't just provide medical care; she brought comfort, reassurance, and even moments of joy during a scary experience. She always took the time to explain things in a way my daughter could understand, easing her fears and helping her feel safe.

What truly stood out was how Alexa went above and beyond on Easter. Knowing we were stuck in the hospital, away from home and our usual traditions, she made the effort to celebrate with my daughter. That thoughtful gesture meant more than words can express it lifted my daughters' spirits and brought a sense of normalcy and happiness to an otherwise difficult day.

Alexa embodies everything a nurse should be: compassionate, dedicated, and deeply caring. She made a lasting impact on my daughter and our entire family, and we are so grateful for the care she provided. She is truly deserving of this recognition.
