Alex is a great example of a great nurse. He has shown humility and hospitality towards my family during this difficult time. We are so grateful to have had him during the few nights he was on shift. His patience, professionalism, and kindness did not go unnoticed. Because of Alex, our minds were at ease knowing our father was in great care. Thank you, Alex, my family, and I appreciate you.

Alex was hired for 4B and started his LA County journey in September of 2022. He is a real OG, as a member of the very first Nurse Residency Program – Cohort #1! Their group graduated in March of 2023 and he has since been a beloved member of our 4B Team. I have witnessed his everyday smile, caring, kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and helpful nature. He is attentive to his patients, patient families and colleagues. He naturally provides customer service to all, by willingly jumping at opportunities to help.

Now let’s talk fun facts about Alex. He loves to skateboard! His music playlist is all screamo and metal music. On his days off, you’ll catch him lounging in a good comfy pair of cargo pants. He is adventurous with food – loves to explore Vietnamese & Thai food especially. He also has a pet dove named Becky that he adores!

Today is a true testament that nursing care at any level is so impactful, whether new in one’s career or seasoned. We can and do make a difference for patients and one another! Huge congratulations to Alex, well deserved, and we are fortunate to have you representing our unit and this institution.
