That day, there were many great people, the doctor and really wonderful nurses working on her, but Alex took charge and worked with such professionalism, doing everything he could to revive her.
On Nov. 9th, 2024, our wife and mother was brought into the ER. We had been in Waunakee, and she passed out and came back very quickly without any warning. She had just started taking a large dose of her verapamil from 240mg to 360mg the day before, and thought it was making her dizzy. We came back to Richland Center with her saying she only felt tired. When we reached Richland Center, I took her directly to The Richland Hospital. She couldn’t get out of the truck on her own, so I went in to get a wheelchair. Alex and another tech came out with a wheelchair and took her into the ER while I parked my truck. By the time I got into the ER room, my wife had already gone into cardiac arrest, and Alex had already gotten her on the bed and was working on her.
That day, there were many great people, the doctor and really wonderful nurses working on her, but Alex took charge and worked with such professionalism, doing everything he could to revive her. CPR was performed by the nurse, and then the machine was put on her. Alex not only stayed very busy in the ER room, but also took time to come out and inform us what was going on and that they were doing everything possible for her. Alex continuously worked on her in such a calm yet proficient manner. He just did everything right and really took charge of the situation. By an act of God, the nurse, the doctor, and other nurses brought her back to us. Alex stayed with her until a bed at UW Madison was found, and she was med-flighted out. He even continued to keep up on her progress while she was in Madison. She was given a pacemaker and is doing great. Thank you doesn’t seem enough!
