Alejandra Chavarria is a Board-Certified Vascular Access Nurse and the Infusion Lead at Artesia General Hospital. On September 23, 2025, she became the first-ever recipient of the DAISY Award at the hospital—a well-deserved honor.
In just two months, Alejandra received eight separate nominations from patients, all recognizing her for her exceptional care. Alejandra is more than just a phenomenal nurse. She is the hospital’s only Certified Spanish Interpreter, PICC and Midline certified, trains fellow nurses in these procedures, and is certified in Ultrasound-Guided IV insertion. She is the go-to expert for any vascular access challenges and is deeply respected and loved by both her colleagues and the patients she serves.
