Aleah Brown, BSN, RN

My mom has been in the hospital for almost a month, and during that time, she has been in and out of awareness. As a family member, this has been incredibly difficult, with many moments of worry, confusion, and countless questions.

Aleah Brown consistently gave me the information I needed and patiently answered every question. She never made me feel rushed, dismissed, or like I was bothering her. She was always kind, patient, and understanding.

Aleah showed that same patience and compassion to my mom. She was the first person who was able to get Mom to eat. Aleah stayed with her, encouraged her, and made sure she ate. Aleah also took the time to do small but meaningful things, like brushing Mom's teeth. These things may seem routine, but when you are watching someone you love go through such a difficult time, they mean everything.

I was amazed to learn that Aleah had only been a nurse for six months. Her knowledge, confidence, patience, and genuine compassion are truly remarkable. Even when my mom is not her patient, Aleah still makes a point to stop by and say hello.

All of my mom’s nurses have provided outstanding care, but Aaliyah has stood out to our family day after day. She is truly top-notch, and there is no doubt in my mind that she is a DAISY Nurse.
