She made sure to explain everything that she was doing and what to expect next, which allowed me to rest because I knew that she was expertly guiding me through the process.
Aisha is a guardian Angel in nurse clothing. The moment she stepped into our room, the level of care we received was second to none. She has high energy, a smile, and is very caring plus nurturing. Any item that seemed a little too much for a dad to help with, she jumped into action. An example is just merely moving a pillow, adjusting sheets, all the way up to physical help. Aisha always hustled to the bedside in order to take care of it. Never once did she seem irritated or bothered by any request. We did not try to make her run but these little items even include asking for a Gatorade. I believe she brought Jello 4 different times. The adjusting of the pillows just before labor was incredible how patient and firm she was with a soft voice. The call button, I’m sure most nurses would love to take a hammer to, but she encouraged me to always press it. Anything we needed or even didn't know we needed, she provided. Aisha made an impression immediately and we were made comfortable from the moment she introduced herself. So much so we requested her to be our nurse the following night shift. Ultimately she was the one heading the whole process to seeing our precious baby girl come into the world. Whomever gets Aisha be prepared to have an everlasting interaction and superior care. She smiles the whole time and loves what she does.

I had the pleasure of having Aisha as my labor and delivery nurse at Texas Children's during the birth of my daughter. I was unexpectedly admitted to be induced and was overwhelmed and nervous about the process. From the moment Aisha entered the room, I knew I would be in great hands. She made sure to explain everything that she was doing and what to expect next, which allowed me to rest because I knew that she was expertly guiding me through the process. She was so proactive and changed my position in bed frequently, which allowed my labor to progress quickly. She also constantly monitored my pain and advised me on optimal timing to get my epidural so that I was never in distress. She advocated on my behalf to delay pushing to allow my baby to get in a better position, which saved me so much energy and helped me only have to push for one hour. During the birth of my daughter, Aisha was an encouraging and joyful presence at my bedside. I always feared that I would feel anxious and out of control during the labor process, but luckily I had Aisha as my nurse. Thanks to Aisha and all of her hard work, I had such a positive birth experience that I will always be thankful for!
