Aimee would always be there straight away for any request he had to make him as comfortable as possible; nothing was ever too much.
Our dear friend T was in the Oncology unit for 14 weeks before sadly passing. It was the hardest thing to watch your friend go through something so terrible at such a young age, and not knowing what was going to happen or how he was really feeling. When visiting, our friend would ask for Nurse Aimee, and she would always be there straight away for any request he had to make him as comfortable as possible; nothing was ever too much. Aimee would answer any questions we had and was very comforting when we were upset, bringing tissues and taking time to listen and reassure us. All the staff in the oncology unit worked extremely hard, but Aimee did so with such kindness, which made it easier for our friend and us. Aimee even turned up to the chapel of rest the day after our friend's passing for the removal, which to me is above and beyond what her job entails. These are only some of the reasons that we think Aimee is a DAISY Nurse.
