Yesterday, Aidan called the supervisor of the cafeteria and had a Birthday tray delivered to an elderly patient in the ER; then we sang "Happy Birthday" to her. She thanked us with tears in her eyes. Then, on the same day, we attempted to convert a patient with SVT using Adenosine 3 times unsuccessfully. Aidan then pulls out three LUCKY SHAMROCK pins and hands them to the patient and his family. Immediately after we gave Cardizem and the patient converted. The family was so thankful and had nothing but kind things to say about him.
