Adrienne is kind, patient and always eager to teach. She is a support to all of our nurses, techs and even leadership.
Adrienne puts "the child, first and always" each and every day. She is our Leadership NCL and sets an amazing example of keeping the patient's first priority. Whether she is spending extra time with a family to listen, calm and reassure them, or working hard to create a culture, through our charge nurse group, that is welcoming to new and current caregivers, she is a servant leader through and through.
Recently, a family called Adrienne their "Angel" and wished they could clone her so that she could be in the hospital every single day.
Adrienne is also very talented at placing neonatal PICC lines. Getting IV access in the NICU is a struggle, especially with the decreased resources in Lehi. Adrienne is not paid to be on call for line placement, but drops everything to come in and take care of our babies and ensure they get the venous access they need. She does this multiple times each month, sometimes multiple times each week. Our babies would not make it without her!
Adrienne also oversees our eye program to ensure that our premature babies have a lifetime of vision. She works with the visiting physicians to make sure that each baby is seen at just the right time to decrease blindness in patients.
Adrienne is kind, patient and always eager to teach. She is a support to all of our nurses, techs and even leadership. She is often on call for the unit when the manager is out of town. She's an amazing resource and always knows "just what to do".
We love Adrienne! Adrienne makes everyone feel at home and like they matter. She is a great listener and a creative problem solver. She follows through and ensures that change is made when it's needed. She is trusted by everyone- families and caregivers alike!
