I had surgery to remove a cyst from my scalp and was dealing with a head cold on said day. I was extremely nervous and apprehensive, as a few years ago, I was on life support. I was very scared of being under such strong sedation and well as having any devices to assist with my breathing. Adrian let me know that since my oximeter reading was great, there likely wouldn’t be a need for any devices, but he would still consult the surgeon. He also assured me that before I even leave the OR, they would begin meds to reverse the anesthesia. As I was being placed on a bed to leave the OR, I felt someone let go of my hand, but I wasn’t coherent enough to see who it was. As I was being discharged, I asked if someone was holding my hand. I was informed that it was indeed Adrian and that he’d held my hand the entire time. Not only did he ease my anxiety before the surgery, but he also stayed to see me through it. Whether or not that was his everyday, it was pretty darn awesome to me, and I am forever grateful!
