She made him feel safe and confident and he ate 100% of every meal.
My husband, has an anoxic brain injury that he has had since 2010. He is very independent and able to do most things but he has some trouble communicating. He is very self conscious about eating in front of people because he has a bit of a tremor and sometimes gets the food on him. I was very worried that I wouldn't be able to encourage him to eat while he was there.

Adra took the time to make a sign that said "Please see nurse before entering" and she made a point to make sure no one could see in the room. She made him feel safe and confident and he ate 100% of every meal. Every person who took care of him was essential in making sure he received the best care and that he felt safe to be himself but that little extra time it took to make sure he was able to eat without being self conscious meant more than she will ever know.
