What all can we say about Addie? She was fantastic! I felt as though I was her only patient. She listened to the concerns about my surgery and gave me and my wife encouragement to look forward to healing and getting back to normal, pain-free daily living.

She continued to make sure I was comfortable and always kept my ice water full. Addie interacted with my wife and me each and every time she was in the room. Her smile was contagious, and her personality was one that all nurses should have. We never saw her sad, upset, tired, etc. She was very professional and was so fun from the first to the last day of our three-day stay.

She had compassion for my military stories and didn’t seem to be in a hurry to get on with her duties. We felt very comfortable with her and enjoyed having her as my nurse, and would encourage other nurses to have Addie’s attitude and her quality of nursing accountability. If we could have input in Addie receiving an award, that would mean the world to my wife and me.

We felt very respected and cared for. She really made our surgery situation and our stay longer a little more bearable. We actually hated to say, “Goodbye” to her!
