Amy came in for a heart attack at age 49, she was extremely scared and having a hard time emotionally. She said Addy went out of her way to take the extra time to talk with Amy about her concerns, checked on her many times, came in at night when she couldn’t sleep, and visited with her. Addy also came and ate lunch with her on her office day. The patient was scared to call her son and tell him she had had a heart attack, Addy offered to come sit with her while she made that phone call.

Addy’s above-and-beyond care, encouraging conversation, and reassurance helped her through the darkest days of her life. The patient said, “Addy was a light for me in my darkest moments.” She also said, “Everyone is so busy in the hospital, and it was like Addy knew that I needed those few extra minutes to answer my questions, kind conversation, and constant reassurance.” She finished with “Addy is so good at what she does, she put my mind at ease, her care and compassion are so genuine, I want to make sure I am conveying how impactful Addy was, in a positive way, during such a difficult time in my life.”
