Adama Mansaray, BSN, RN
I would like to recognize Adama for the exceptional care and compassion she provided during my hospital stay following a hysterectomy and oophorectomy. From the moment she entered my room as my night nurse, it was clear she was something truly special.
She immediately recognized that I was struggling emotionally and, without hesitation or prior knowledge of my situation, offered to pray with me. In a moment when I felt vulnerable and overwhelmed, she provided a sense of comfort and peace that I will never forget. Her gentle reassurance, calming presence, and simple act of kindness--rubbing my forehead and reminding me that everything would be okay--meant more than I can fully express.
Throughout the night, as my pain became increasingly difficult, Adama was incredibly proactive and attentive. Despite the demands of her shift, she made a promise to check on me every hour--and she honored that promise without fail. Her consistency, dedication, and genuine concern for my well-being made me feel seen, safe, and cared for in a way that went far beyond standard nursing care.
At the end of her shift, she came in to personally say goodbye, offering words of encouragement and letting me know I would remain in her thoughts and prayers. That moment spoke volumes about her character and the depth of care she brings to her patients.
Adama's calm, compassionate presence had a profound impact on my experience. She not only cared for me physically but also supported me emotionally and spiritually during one of the most difficult moments of my life.
