My husband was transferred to Ascension St. John Tulsa ICU due to internal bleeding. My husband, who is the most happy go-lucky, loves life to the fullest, God-seeking family man and father, was very sick. The nurses made this hospitalization one that will never be forgotten.
Our night nurse Adam came into the room and his presence was very noticeable (in a good way); he immediately hit it off with my husband and made the time pass a little faster. My husband's diagnosis of stage 4 Cirrhosis of the liver was absolutely breathtakingly devastating. My husband who is so full of life, now with an incurable diseaseā¦Adam not only made us feel like family night off the bat, he made my husband feel the comfort of the Lord right at bedside.
Adam and my husband have the same birthday and Adam shared The One Year Bible for Men. He left a very encouraging page in the Bible for him, that Adam signed just reassuring my husband that everything will be ok. And he will forever have support. He made our visit pleasant even given the circumstances.
Adam gave me and my husband the comfort we needed and it truly felt like God sent his Angels to deliver the message he did and to provide the exceptional care that he did. I will forever be thankful for such an inspiring and encouraging nurse to have taken care of my husband.
