I have had the honor and privilege to work beside Abby for the last couple of years. Because of this, I have been able to witness Abby provide exemplary nursing care for each of her patients. The empathy and compassion she has for her patients do not go unnoticed. What stands out to me the most about Abby is her habit of asking questions to learn more about a patient, including the fun and positive aspects that are often overlooked, as the patient may feel overwhelmed by being in the hospital. Whether asking about their family, favorite hobby, or even why they were admitted to the hospital, Abby is always taking time out of her shift to really get to know her patients personally. As for her coworkers, she is also always willing to help. She is known for her positive and bubbly attitude. She recently worked on a project with our manager, which included her photography skills. Through this project, we gained a deeper understanding of one another and celebrated each other's achievements. From her patients to her coworkers, Abby is always willing to provide the best care for those around her. She is an awesome nurse, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with her.
