AR has shown me compassion and has given me the care I would want for my parents. As he has gone above and beyond to help me through a very bad and emotional day while I was here by talking to me and taking those extra few minutes to make sure I was OK before he went to his next patient. I am going through cancer as well, and I am not in the best place emotionally right now. He stayed those extra minutes with me, and by just him listening to me and talking to me as a person and not just a patient, it helped me get into a different mind space, which made me feel so much better. I broke down on him more than once, and he always treated me with compassion, respect, and care on a personal level, so I felt very comfortable for him to be my nurse. I even prayed that he would be my nurse the next day I was there. I would honestly say he cares; he is very professional and knowledgeable and definitely deserves this award. If I could nominate him for every day I was here, I would do so. What a difference the medical field would be if there were more nurses and medical staff that had the qualities that he brings to his job and shows to his patients. It was a true blessing to me to have had the chance to know him as a nurse. What a genuine person he is. His nursing qualities and knowledge mean that he goes above and beyond, and you can tell he wants to be the very best he can be and strives towards that. Very big applause to him.
