We loved our night nurse, Abby. She was a great communicator and genuinely seemed like she cared about what we were going through. Having a newborn baby was scary, but she put our minds at ease!!

Abby is the embodiment of a fun, energetic, empathetic, and caring nurse. She always goes above and beyond to make her patients feel comfortable and cared for. She always takes the time to make each of her patients feel heard and never makes them feel like she is too busy to hear them out. I have seen her provide exemplary care for every one of her patients, but a few examples have really stood out to me as times when she went the extra mile. For example, one night, Abby had a patient on an EEG and could not leave the room. The patient was feeling bored and cooped up. Abby made sure she got all of her patients settled so she could be free to spend some extra time in this patient's room, and then she had a "makeup slumber party" with this patient. She gave her a makeover, did her nails, and helped this patient feel like she was at a silly sleepover instead of in the hospital. I do not doubt that Abby changed the course of this patient's hospital stay with this kind act. Not only is Abby a great nurse to her patients, but she is also incredibly kind and helpful to all of her coworkers. She is quick to compliment the good things she sees and is constantly building up her fellow nurses and CNAs. Anyone who works with her walks out of their shift feeling a little more confident because Abby was their own personal hype woman all shift. She will also always be the first person to offer help and to jump in and lend a hand. Abby is truly an incredible nurse, and I am extremely grateful that I have the opportunity to work with her. Congratulations, Abby, thank you for all you do for our patients, families, & team members! You are an inspiration to us all!
