June 2017 Honoree
mae redila damore, RN, CNIII
I woke up in recovery to Mae, my recovery nurse. She is a very compassionate and kind lady. When my spouse came in, she made him very comfortable and welcomed. The three of us got to talking about where we grew up and where we have been and the paths we have been down to get to here. As I was being wheeled out of recovery, Mae said she would stop by and see me before I leave. On Thanksgiving, Mae showed up in my room with "Thanksgiving Dinner in a bag" for us. She brought turkey jerky, pumpkin spiceandcranberry flavored pita chips, and turkey stuffing flavored baked chips, all from Trader Joes. We only spent a few hours of our time here in recovery and felt as though we made a real friend that really cared about my recovery and well-being. Thankyou, Mae and our best wishes to you always.
Thank you, Mae, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
