I would like to recognize the entire 6th-floor nursing team. My mom is a 71-year-old cancer patient who was admitted to the hospital after radiation treatment left her extremely frail and weak. She contracted CDIF. The nurses assigned to my mom were amazing. They treated her with respect, dignity, and compassion. My mom is a self-proclaimed record holder of the most internal moves in PBRMC. Throughout her 3-week stay and 6 rooms, despite what was a very overwhelming, stressful situation. The nursing team made each transition feel seamless. They worked together with incredible coordination, ensuring my mom was comfortable, safe, and well cared for every stop of the way. The whole team rallied around my mom and our family. They consistently kept us informed, showed compassion, and patience in answering all our questions. They treated her with dignity and respect when she was at her most vulnerable. They did not just provide care, they truly care. Their teamwork, communication, and dedication made an incredibly difficult experience more manageable for our entire family. We are truly beyond grateful for the nursing team and the compassion they showed. It's a true reflection of what exceptional patient care should look like. I sat in my mom's room every day from 8 am to almost 8 pm. I'm truly going to miss the amazing people I have met during this time. Thank you!
