Over the years, 5 North has continued to grow into a phenomenal team, built on excellence and friendship. If 5 North were defined as a group, the characteristics that come to mind are camaraderie, dedication to positive patient outcomes, and resilience.
Our UBC transformed into such a powerful vessel in attaining positive patient outcomes and in how we practice safely; We’ve displayed excellence in patient care by our ability to come together in reducing harm to our patients from pressure injuries, This effort displayed the essence of evidence-based practices, alongside the importance of having a therapeutic work environment; We take pride in our work and the contribution it has made to our magnet journey.
The devotion we have to friendship and to serving our community is unmatched. We willingly volunteer to serve those in need during our community outreach activities, while still finding time to strengthen our bond with one another by hanging out and having fun outside of work.
We chose the polar bear as our mascot to symbolize our strength as a team. Its remarkable resilience allows the polar bear to prevail, regardless of the challenges its environment presents. That is how strong we are as a group; we will continue to uplift one another while serving our patients in attaining positive outcomes.
