During my ongoing journey with Crohn’s disease, I have faced many difficult moments, but Nurse Randy at the Endoscopy Unit has been a constant source of reassurance and support.
One particular instance stands out: I was scheduled for an endoscopic procedure, and anxiety was overwhelming me. Randy noticed my nervousness right away. Instead of simply preparing me for the procedure, he took the time to sit by my side, explain each step in detail, and answer all my questions with patience and empathy. His calm demeanor and genuine concern made me feel safe and understood.
What truly sets Randy apart is his dedication beyond the hospital walls. He consistently checks in with me, sending timely reminders about my medications and follow-up appointments. There was a time when I almost missed a crucial dose, but Randy’s message arrived just in time, preventing a potential flare-up. His mindfulness and attention to detail have made a significant difference in managing my condition.
Randy’s caring nature, attentiveness, and proactive communication have not only improved my medical outcomes but have also given me peace of mind. I am deeply grateful for his exceptional care and unwavering support throughout my treatment journey.
