When my wife and I entered the Labor and Delivery department, she was excellent, attentive, and always available to answer any questions with a smile and a calm demeanor. Thanks to Martha, I am now a father to a beautiful baby girl, and my wife's experience at the hospital was truly special. Martha embodies what it means to be a top-tier nurse and a wonderful human being. She was knowledgeable, able to answer questions or concerns from my wife and me calmly, and, above all, was indeed a spectacular person. Sometimes, I forgot she was even our nurse because she seemed like a close friend who was there for us on the most important day of our lives. During our stay, we were assisted by other staff members who also contributed to our fantastic experience. Still, for most of our stay in Labor and Delivery, Martha was at our bedside for hours at a time. It was Martha who advocated for us and reached out to the anesthesia team when we were ready for the epidural. It was Martha who was there coaching my wife and calming her during her contractions and eventually during the pushing phase of delivery. Martha was there the entire time, focusing on my wife as both a patient and a person. I can think of no other person more deserving of the DAISY Award, and I genuinely want to thank her from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you, Martha!
