May 2026 Honoree
Janet De Guzman Tria
I believe that Ms. Janeth Tria is a true embodiment of what a DAISY Honoree should be. She is a senior nurse with exceptional competence, unwavering dedication, and a natural gift for supporting the nurses around her. She consistently demonstrates sound judgment, compassion, and professionalism qualities that make her an indispensable presence in our unit.
Whenever someone needs guidance, she is there. Whenever the situation becomes overwhelming, she steps in. Her leadership is not loud nor demanding; it is steady, gentle, and deeply reassuring.
Since joining Amana in 2018, I have received multiple DAISY nominations, and I know how meaningful it is for any nurse to be recognized. Being nominated validates your work, your effort, and the care you give. And based on that understanding, I can say with full conviction that Janeth Tria truly deserves this honor.
From the time I started in Homecare, I have seen how genuinely helpful she is. As a Team Leader, she consistently provides guidance and support—never making you feel alone, no matter how heavy the workload becomes.
When the unit is toxic, she will personally come to check on you, assist you with documentation or medication counts, and ensure that everything is done correctly. She offers help not because she has to, but because she sincerely cares.
Her calm demeanor, strong professionalism, and deep expertise shine through in everything she does. She leads by example with humility, kindness, and excellence that uplift everyone around her.
I have witnessed her heart, her dedication, and her impact. For me, she is the true definition of an exceptional nurse.
